ABOUT ME
Welcome to United States History!
Chandler Seabolt
I am a first year teacher with a passion for history, lacrosse, the Florida Gators and my dog Bo. I was born in Cobb County, spent my Elementary years in Florida and moved back to Kennesaw before Middle School. I graduated from Allatoona High School where I was active in many areas including student government, theatre and lacrosse.
After high school I moved on to Young Harris College were I was awarded a full ride scholarship to play lacrosse. My first year of college was interrupted by the pandemic and with that lacrosse season was over. After the next season of lacrosse was cancelled as well, it was decision time. I made the decision to move to Kennesaw to attend Kennesaw State University. It was always my thought to be a teacher but attending Kennesaw State solidified that plan. I joined the Kennesaw State lacrosse team and went back to class.
My parents always told me to find my joy. I have thought a lot about that over the past few years. I have always been a sports enthusiast and a coach at heart. This along with my passion for history lead me to find my joy in history and lacrosse together. I have coached lacrosse seriously for four years of college. Currently, I am the offensive coordinator for Marietta High School Varsity lacrosse and head coach of the Atlanta Express Middle School program.
My hope for this school year is to guide students through United States history and in this journey find something they find interesting. History tends to be a subject that students either love or hate. My philosophy is to teach to “ALL” students in a creative, fun filled environment. My hope is to help students find out why history is amazing. But, I will settle for teaching facts that they will hold on to even if it is only for trivia.
